Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DSVN Ltd ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the Horosigns mobile application ("the App"). It applies only to the App. It does not apply to any other app, website, or service.

By installing or using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the App.

1. Information we do not collect

The App has no registration, no login, and no user profile. We do not collect, request, or store:

• your name, email address, phone number, or postal address;
• your date of birth, time of birth, or place of birth;
• your precise or approximate location — the App requests no location permission;
• photographs, camera or microphone access, or any biometric information, including face or fingerprint data — the App requests no camera permission and contains no camera feature;
• your contacts, call logs, SMS messages, calendar, or files on your device;
• payment or financial information — the App contains no purchases.

The App's palm reading feature is a set of multiple-choice questions about the lines on your hand. It does not use your camera, and no photograph of your hand is taken, uploaded, or transmitted anywhere.

2. Information stored on your device

The following is saved locally on your phone. It is not transmitted to us, and we cannot read it:

All of this is removed when you uninstall the App, or when you clear the App's storage in Android Settings → Apps → Horosigns → Storage.

3. Information sent to our servers

To show you a horoscope, the App asks our content server for the text that matches the zodiac sign you selected and the date being viewed. To show articles, it requests the article list and article content.

These requests contain the zodiac sign identifier, a date, and article identifiers. They contain no account, no device identifier, and nothing that identifies you personally.

As with any request made over the internet, our server receives the IP address the request came from, together with standard technical information such as the time of the request. We use this only to operate the service, diagnose faults, and protect against abuse. We do not use it to build a profile of you and we do not combine it with advertising identifiers.

4. Advertising and the advertising ID

The App is free and is supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob, provided by Google, to display banner and interstitial ads.

To serve, measure, and protect those ads, the Google AdMob software development kit automatically collects the following from your device and sends it to Google:

• Device or other IDs — the Android advertising ID (AAID) and app set ID;
• Approximate location — your IP address, which Google may use to estimate the general area (such as country or city) the device is in. The App itself never requests location permission;
• App interactions — events such as app launches, taps, and views of the ads shown, together with technical details such as device model and operating system version;
• Diagnostics — performance information such as app launch time, hang rate, and energy usage.

This information is collected by Google and shared with Google as an independent recipient, for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention, security, and compliance purposes. Diagnostic data is used for analytics and fraud prevention only, not for advertising.

Depending on your settings and the rules that apply in your country, ads may be personalized (chosen partly on the basis of your interests) or non-personalized (chosen without using your advertising ID for interest profiling).

Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's own policies, not by ours:

• How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
• Google Privacy Policy
• AdMob and privacy

How to control this

You can change or remove your advertising ID at any time, without uninstalling the App:

• Reset the ID: Android Settings → Google → All services → Ads → Reset advertising ID.
• Delete the ID entirely: the same screen offers Delete advertising ID on Android 12 and later. After this, apps receive a string of zeros instead of an ID and cannot use it to personalize ads.
• Turn off ad personalization: the same screen offers Opt out of Ads Personalization. Ads will still appear, but will not be personalized.

Menu names differ slightly between Android versions and phone manufacturers.

5. Third-party services we use

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers, advertising networks other than the one named above, or any other unaffiliated company, except where we are required to do so by law or by valid legal process.

6. Children's privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address in section 12 and we will delete it.

7. Your rights and choices

Because the App has no accounts and we hold no information that identifies you, we are in most cases unable to link any data to a particular person — which also means we cannot look up, export, or delete "your" records on request, as there are none to find.

You can nonetheless exercise full control:

• Data stored on your device — clear the App's storage or uninstall the App.
• Your advertising ID — reset or delete it in Android settings (see section 4). For requests concerning data already held by Google, contact Google directly using the links in section 4.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with comparable law such as California, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and portability in relation to personal data concerning you, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where we act as a controller of any such data, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and maintaining the App, and — for personalized advertising, where applicable — your consent. Write to us at the address in section 12 and we will respond as required by the applicable law.

8. Data retention

Data stored on your device remains until you clear the App's storage or uninstall the App. Server request logs are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the service, and are then deleted or aggregated so that they no longer relate to an individual request. Data held by Google in connection with advertising is retained under Google's own retention policies.

9. Security

Traffic between the App and our servers, and between the App and Google's advertising services, is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but because the App holds no accounts and no personal information, there are no credentials or personal records to expose.

10. Links and content from other sources

The App displays astrology articles and may contain links that open in your browser. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites or services. Please read their policies before providing them with any information.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time — for example if we add a feature, or if a service provider changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how information is handled, we will make it prominent in the App or in the release notes on Google Play. Continued use of the App after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Policy.
